The announcement of a new quick detail
spray usually garners two-and-a-half yawns on my excitement meter but I must
admit this product really surprised me. Yes, it's a fast, wipe-and-shine spray
that produces a super shine with a slick finish. Yes, you can use it over
carnauba waxes and polymer sealants. Yes, it adds a micro-fine layer of
protection that extends the durability of the initial wax or sealant coating and
yes, it is VOC compliant in all 50 states. The same can be said of dozens of
other detail sprays.

Shine apart and neither are mentioned on the label. First, you can use this
spray to clean and shine virtually any surface. Paintwork, metal, glass,
plastic, chrome and vinyl can be cleaned and shined with a simple
mist-and-wipe.
This is a great feature for
vehicles like jeeps that have a lot of black plastic trim. Other detail
sprays can white stain black trim but not Wheel Wax Magic Shine. |

Secondly, and this is the feature that
justifies the product in my mind, Wheel Wax Magic Shine contains the same
anti-static agent used in the company's Wheel Wax. It literally repels dust,
sand and pollen! Living in the desert here in Arizona, blowing sand is a
constant aggravation. Every time I open my garage door, fine sand blows in and
covers my cars. To test Magic Shine's anti-dust properties, I sprayed and wiped
my car prior to a five day business trip. During my absence, my wife went about
her daily routine, opening and closing the garage door to drive her car. My car
remained in the garage, uncovered. Upon my return, I wiped my hand across my
car's finish and to my amazement, it was virtually dust and sand free. I was
stunned. I have never been able to leave my car in the garage for two days, much
less five, and not find it covered with a light film of sand.
Wheel Wax calls Magic Shine the
"ultimate instant detail spray" and I'm inclined to agree, I now use Wheel Wax
Magic Shine on my car and my Harley to keep them clean, shiny and virtually dust
free. Strongly recommended.
