Our product recommendations for a "Sizzling Shine" are a step-up from the Bare Essentials recommendations. They are oriented towards the enthusiast willing to devote a little more time and energy to achieve a superior finish.

Our Sizzling Shine recommendations are built around BLACKFIRE products. As detailers, we've used these products on dozens of vehicles and have always been blown away with the results. BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finnish Paint Protection is the only non-carnauba product we've found that can create a shine with emotion. It has a richness and clarity that goes beyond just brightness. BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finnish Paint Protection on dark color vehicles rivals the very best carnauba waxes with a shine and protection that will last for months.

The key attribute of BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finnish Paint Protection is balance. We've used products that produce a brighter shine but those products looked sterile on many colors. They did not allow the natural pigment color of the paint to bloom. To us, this is a cold, unemotional shine. We have also used products that produce a little deeper shine on dark color finishes (See my "Deep, Liquid Shine for Black & Red Vehicles"), but they lack BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finnish Paint Protection's durability. This may or may not be a problem depending on how much time you can devote to caring for your car. I've also used products that rival BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finnish Paint Protectionbut they required arm-numbing effort to apply and buff off. BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finnish Paint Protection has an optimum balance of great shine, durability and ease of application that puts it in a class by itself.


Shine is difficult show in a photograph but if you look closely at the hood you'll see the reflection of some trees on the upper left corner and a light blue sky with some clouds on the lower right corner. In the middle of the hood is a reflection of a light bar which is mounted on top of the Jeep. If you look very closely at the reflection just above the light bar you'll see a mirror image reflection of the letters on the windshield. This is a reflection of white letters on white paint! How's that for a shine with clarity?
	These products should be applied to a new car or a car with a "like-new" finish. If you're not sure about your car's finish, try this simple test. After washing your car, place your hand in a plastic sandwich bag and lightly run your fingertips over the paint's surface. If the finish feels rough, gritty or pebble-like, use BLACKFIRE Poly Clay prior to proceeding. If the finish is smooth with only occasional "bumps", continue with these products. Remember, you can always call us for our advice on your cars condition.

Wash and Dry

BLACKFIRE Gloss Shampoo - A great shampoo on its own merits, this is the optimum companion for washing vehicles protected with BLACKFIRE All Finish Paint Protection. Gloss Shampoo contains some of the same polymers used in BLACKFIRE's Paint Protection. This helps renew the shine every time the car is washed.

Microfiber Ultra Mitt - Our Microfiber UltraMitt is two mitts in one. One side is our super soft, high pile Microfiber which is softer than cotton chenille and softer than sheepskin. The other side is our Power Scrubber Microfiber made with a new thread called Intense Microfiber. This side is great for removing insect residues and imbedded grime and it will not scratch your car, bike, boat or RV's finish.

Big Blue Towel - Unbelievable good! The absolute best way to dry your car. Here's a washing tip. After you've finished washing your car, do a final rinse with free-flowing water (nozzle off the hose). Most of the water will sheet off the car. Remaining droplets can be quickly absorbed with a single swipe of Big Blue. You can completely dry an entire car with Big Blue without ever wringing it out!

Tires and Wheels

BLACKFIRE Gel Wheel & Tire Cleaner - This is one of the safest wheel cleaners available. It has the optimum balance of cleaning punch and surface safety. Always clean one wheel at a time. Just spray Gel Wheel & Tire Cleaner on the tire and wheel, agitate the surface with the Tire & Wheel Brush and rinse. we've used this cleaner on everything from natural aluminum truck wheels to expensive aftermarket Porsche wheels and never had a problem with staining or dulling the finish.

Laitner Ergonomic Wheel & Tire Brush- The bristles are just stiff enough to remove brake dust and road grime yet the feathered edges prevent washing swirls or scratches. In addition to cleaning tires and wheels, You can use this brush to give the inside of wheel wells a quick once over. This is a very versatile brush to have in your cleaning arsenal.

Tire Dressing

Black Sapphire Tire Gel - An absolutely fantastic tire dressing that lasts for weeks and gives tires a semi-gloss, dressed luster. Apply a line of Gel Dressing down the middle of a Flexible Foam Tire Applicator and simply wipe over the tire. There's no over spray to make wheels greasy and no sling-off to gunk up lower body panels. Our Foam Tire Applicators produce a uniform application with a simple once around motion yet keeps your hands dry and clean.

Paint Polishing - Restoring the Shine

Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish - This is the step overlooked by most people yet arguably produces the greatest results. Polishing removes old wax, pollution and grime that washing alone can not remove. In addition to cleaning, polishing helps hide minor swirls and deepens the paint's natural gloss. We've used dozens and dozens of different polishes and I keep coming back to Blackfire's Gloss Enhancing Polish. It beautifies all colors of paint with a liquid-like shimmer yet contains no abrasives or strong VOC solvents. The perfect polish for a new or like new car or truck.

Simply apply a nickel-size amount of polish to a dry applicator pad and wipe over the surface. Allow the light film to dry and buff to a shine with the Viper Microfiber Detailing Cloth.

Paint Protection - Lock in the Shine

Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection - The most remarkable polymer protectant we have ever used. What sets this product apart is the quality of the shine. All polymer products produce a bright shine. Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection produces a shine with depth and emotion. It creates a liquid-like shimmer on the surface yet mirrors reflections with remarkable clarity, definition and vividness. The paint's true color radiates through the shine even in direct sunlight.

Application is a breeze. Just wipe on using the yellow foam applicator, allow the slight haze to dry and buff to a brilliant shine with the Viper Microfiber Detailing Cloth. Your car will be protected and shiny for four to five months. Follow every four months with additional applications of All Finish Paint Protection and your car's finish will be protected for an entire year!

Exterior Trim Detailing

Black Again - Perfection is in the details! The contrasts between your car's paint and the trim moldings and mirror housings are the details that set your car apart. We can't tell you how many freshly waxed cars we've seen with white-stained trim moldings. It makes the whole car look uncared for. After you've finished detailing your car, take just a minute to wipe all exterior trim moldings and vinyl mirror housings with Black Again. Black Again penetrates into the pores of rubber and vinyl. It dissolves old wax residues and restores a "wet-look" shine that lasts for weeks.

Maintaining the Sizzle!

Blackfire Deep Gloss Spray - Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection will keep your cars paint protected for months but normal driving, wind and rain will diminish that elusive "sparkle". Use Deep Gloss Spray after washing or anytime to renew that just-detailed sizzle. Mist Deep Gloss Spray on areas of three to four square feet and wipe with the Viper Perfect Shine Cloth. It will take less than ten minutes to mist and wipe your entire car. When done, it looks like you just spent all day detailing it!
