Laitner Ergonomic Wheel & Tire
Brush
Product review by Terry Freiberg
The Laitner Brush Company may not be as
well known as OXO but this Michigan-based company has been making innovative
brushes for over 150 years. Laitner is well known in the automotive aftermarket
for their line of auto body and detailing brushes sold under the "Grip-It"
trademark.
This Ergonomic Wheel & Tire Brush
features Laitner's signature non-slip, comfort grip handle and a head of 2-1/2
inch crimped, feathered, Polypropylene bristles. Polypropylene is a synthetic
bristle resistant to petroleum, solvents, acids and detergents and is not
affected by fungus or mildews. Crimping the bristles enhances the bristle's
water-carrying ability and feathering the tips prevents scratching delicate
finishes.
| Polypropylene bristles offer the
optimum balance of scrubbing power and softness. The crimped bristle is
strong enough to scrub away oily road grime on tires yet soft enough for use
on painted, clear coated, polished or anodized wheels.
While primarily designed as a tire and
wheel cleaning brush, the flagged (feathered) tips make this brush ideal for
cleaning clear plastic lens and spot cleaning any painted surface. |

| Overall brush length is 14-1/2 inches. |
