Customers often ask us what
they should use on their new/used vehicle. It's an almost impossible question to
answer because every person and every vehicle is different. Do you want a
brighter shine that sparkles or a deeper, darker shine? How often do you want to
wax your car, every 30 days, every 3 months, twice a year? How many steps are
you willing to perform? Are you looking for one-step, quick and easy, product or
will you spend the better part of a day to use a clay, polish. glaze and
sealant?
There is no "best"
or "right" product. Only by trying different products, on your car,
will you find what works best and looks best to you. You might like the look of
one product on your car and I might like the look of another. Much of this comes
down to personal preference.
Don't despair, this isn't
rocket science! Given our years of experience with these products, we're going
to start you in the right direction. Following are product recommendations by my
wife, Jan, son, Jon, and myself. Chances are, you will fit into one of these
categories.
Jan offers three
packages she names "Bare Essentials." While Jan enjoys driving a
clean, shiny car as much as the rest of us, she approaches car care from a
perspective of investing the least amount of time, effort and money. Her
recommendations are right on the mark. If you want to take care of your car with
a minimum investment in time, without rubbing your arm off and without taking a
second mortgage to buy car care products, please consider her Bare Essentials
recommendations.
Our son, Jon, joined the
family business after years of detailing cars. Jon is more of an enthusiast and
willing to devote a little more time and energy to achieve a show-car-like
shine. Jon's two Sizzling Shine recommendations are the perfect introduction to
high-end, enthusiast car care. The products are easy to use (even by a novice)
and will produce a head-turning shine.
Lastly, I outline the products
I use to achieve my personal "perfect shine" in my Reference
Package. These products, applied by machine (I use a Porter Cable 7424
polisher), create a balance of brightness, depth and liquidity that I find
stunning on my pewter colored, sedan.
