Polish your windshield
as clear as new glass.

When a friend dropped by to give me a ride in his new car, I was stunned at the clarity of his new car's windshield! No specks, no insect residues, no water spots and no oily road film. Just crystal clear glass!

Your car's windshield is probably the most overlooked surface on your car.

Try this test:

Put your hand in a plastic sandwich bag and lightly run your fingertips over the windshield's surface. Chances are, it will have a rough, gritty feel.

Glass cleaners will not remove this grit. It requires a high speed polisher (Makita 9227) or a dual action (Porter Cable 7424) polisher and a special glass polishing disc to really polish glass.

Test glass for smoothness.

If you have a machine polisher, our Glass Polishing Kit contains everything you need to make your car's glass "like new" clear. Our kit contains:

3 - Four inch, hook and loop backed, glass polishing discs.
1 - 4 inch hook and loop Backing Plate for either a Dual-Action or
Circular polisher.
1 - 11 oz. Autoglym Auto Glass Polish.
2 - Microfiber cleaning cloths.

Two Kits are available:

GL-KITDA contains a Hook and Loop Backing Plate with a 5/16-24 threaded post to fit Dual-Action polishers like the Porter Cable 7424.

GL-KITC contains a Hook and Loop Backing Plate with a 5/8-11 threaded receptacle for use with professional circular polishers.

Application Tips:

Apply a Quarter size amount of polish on a dry polishing disc.
Work on 1/2 of the windshield, polishing first in an up and down motion then in a left-to-right motion.
Go over the glass several times in each direction. (Glass will polish virtually residue free.)
Wipe off any remaining residues using the Microfiber cloth.
Inspect glass for clarity and smoothness. Repeat if necessary.

Apply Quarter size amount on dry disc.


Start polishing in an up and down direction.	Then go left-to-right until residue free.

Each disc will polish all of the glass on one vehicle. After use, rinse off the disc with water and allow to air dry. Discs can usually be used at least one more time before being discarded. Additional discs are available below.

Note: This system will remove films, over spray and contamination on top of the glass but can not remove pits, spots and scratches etched into the glass. Do not use on Lexan, Plexiglas or clear plastics.

Very Important: If using this kit with a dual-action polisher like the Porter Cable 7424, be sure the Backing Plate is very securely fastened to the polisher. If the backing plate were to unscrew during polishing the polisher could hit the windshield.
