Lake Country Manufacturing produces the most technologically advanced pads you can buy. Period.
The foams they offer are engineered foams imported from Europe that are specifically designed for compounding, polishing and buffing.
A brief history of Lake Country Manufacturing:
In 1977, Jim Schneider purchased the former Milwaukee Tanning company from the Koenchild family and changed the name to Lake Country Manufacturing.
Milwaukee Tanning was established in 1883 by the Koenchild family and manufactured 4 main lines of goods: sheepskin apparel, powder puffs, leather dice cups and sheepskin buffing pads.
During the first decade of ownership, Mr. Schneider slowly sold off the other three portions of the company to focus solely on the automotive buffing industry.
For over 30 years since becoming Lake Country Manufacturing, they have grown to offer a full line of professional buffing and polishing products for the automotive, marine, aviation and composite industries.
Known as the worldwide industry leader in product development and quality, Lake Country Manufacturing currently holds 22 U.S. and foreign patents and 6 patent applications pending which includes the buffer powered System 2000™ pad washer, Collapsed Cell Structure (CCS)
Technology™, Cool Foam™ and Kompressor Technology.
We here at Classic Motoring Accessories are proud to be associated with such a forward thinking company!
The vast majority of domestically produced foam is designed for air filtration, not polishing.
These "off-the-shelf" filter foams from the U.S. and other countries cannot match the quality, performance and consistency of these specialty foams from Lake Country Manufacturing.
With our association with Lake Country, we offer the same foam and pad technology that is being used at the OEM level worldwide (Ford, GM, BMW, Daimler, Chrysler, Porsche, Audi, VW, etc.).
Technology is the key:
**In 2006, Lake Country Mfg. introduced CCS Technology.
CCS technology uses strategic patterns of partially closed foam cells to slow the rate of product absorption, gradually releasing product as needed.
While developed for the new super-hard, scratch-resistant clear coats, CCS pads can also be used on conventional paints and clear coats.
**In 2007, Lake Country Mfg. introduced CCS Technology, Cool Foam™ pads for standard and painted
fiberglass and gel coat finishes. Cool Foam Technology utilizes a band of cool foam on the rear of the pad to allow for air circulation through the pad, keeping the pad cooler. Because fiberglass and composites can not dissipate heat like painted metal, these pads are designed to minimize paint burn, checkering and scorching by internally dissipating heat to keep the working surface cooler.
**In 2009, Lake Country Mfg. introduced Kompressor Technology pads for use on any automotive finish.
Kompressor technology uses a slotted pad face that constantly adjusts to surface contours.
The slotted face also expands the workable surface area of the pad.
A recessed opening in the back of the pad allows for precise centering of the pad on your polisher.
These technologies are particularly important when attempting to polish the newer automotive scratch
resistant clear coats.
**Another Lake Country/Classic Motoring exclusive patent bonds a layer of engineered, instant rebound, foam between the pad and the backing plate.
This layer acts as a cushion or shock absorber between the machine, the operator and the surface being worked on.
It absorbs off-axis motion while maintaining a constant and uniform pressure on the surface. (We call this "Constant Pressure™" technology.) This allows even the beginner to achieve professional-like results.
Regardless of what compound, polish, glaze or sealant you use, Lake Country Mfg. pads will
guarantee the absolute best results.
