Here are our product recommendations for maintaining a brand new car or any vehicle with a like-new finish. We upgraded this kit and switched from Klasse All-In-One to Menzerna's one-step, Acrylic Jacket. While we still feel All-In-One is an excellent, easy-to-use product, One-Step Acrylic Jacket is just as easy to use and will put a brighter, crisper shine on an older car.

If you're not sure about your car's finish, try this simple test. After washing your car, place your hand in a plastic sandwich bag and lightly run your fingertips over the paint's surface. It should be as smooth as glass, with only occasional "bumps". If the paint feels rough, gritty or "pebble-like", you should use the products in our "Bare Essentials for an Older Car" package.

Wash and Dry
Menzerna Auto Shampoo - A wonderful shampoo with the silky, smooth feel that is very close to the best shampoos available. There's a lot of lubricity to reduce washing swirls and ample cleaning ability to tackle the dirtiest vehicle. This shampoo resists water spotting but does require frequent rinsing for best results.

Microfiber UltraMitt - Our UltraMitt is two mitts in one. One side is a super soft, high pile Microfiber which is softer than cotton chenille and softer than sheepskin. The other side is a Power Scrubber Microfiber made with a new thread called Intense Microfiber. This side is great for removing insect residues and imbedded grime. While the Power Scrubber side feels coarse, it is 100% Microfiber and it will not scratch your car, bike, boat or RV's finish.

Big Blue II Drying Towel - Unbelievably good! The absolute best way to dry your car. Here's a washing tip. After you've finished washing your car, do a final rinse with free-flowing water (nozzle off the hose). Most of the water will sheet off the car. Remaining droplets can be quickly absorbed with a single swipe of Big Blue. I can completely dry my entire car with Big Blue without ever wringing it out!

Tires, Wheels & Exterior Trim

Menzerna Gel 7.5 Wheel & Tire Cleaner- Hands down the easiest and fastest way to clean both tires and wheels. Start by spraying both the tire and wheel with water. Mist Wheel & Tire Cleaner on both the tire and wheel, give both a once over with the Short Handle Wheel Scrub Brush and rinse. Viola! Clean tires and wheels! Gel 7.5 Wheel & Tire Cleaner is pH-Neutral and safe for all types of wheels including billet aluminum, plated, polished, anodized, painted and clear coated.

Short Handle Wheel Scrub Brush - Don't use the Chenille Wash Pad to clean your tires and wheels. Brake dust will permanently stain the pad could be re-applied onto the car's paint. This Short Handle Wheel Brush is the fastest and easiest way to clean both tires and wheels. After spraying the tire and wheel with Hi-Intensity Cleaner, agitate the surface to get into every nook and cranny and rinse.

CAR CARE TIP: I wash my car using two buckets of shampoo. The first time, I fill my bucket 3/4 full and use this shampoo to clean all four tires and wheels. After washing the wheels, empty the bucket, rinse it out and fill it a second time with shampoo. Use this second bucket to wash the rest of the car. This prevents metallic brake dust particles in the wash water from scratching the paint.

Lexol Vinylex - Just the right amount of tire shine. Not too shiny, not too greasy, just a little sparkle. I apply Vinylex to the tires after I've finished washing and drying the car. I mist Vinylex on the tires and spread it using an old, flat-sided kitchen sponge. When I finish with my tires, the sponge is saturated with Vinylex. I now wipe the rubber bumpers, exterior trim moldings and my car's rubber door seals. Lastly, I drive my car a few feet and use the sponge to wipe the flat spot on the tires.

Polish & Protect

Menzerna One Step Acrylic Jacket - The heart of my Bare Essentials package and one of the easiest products I've ever used. Acrylic Jacket really does clean, polish and protect in one wipe-on, wipe-off application. It removes light oxidation, visually reduces minor swirls and leaves a deep, acrylic shine that can last six months or more. Two applications a year will keep your car looking showroom new.

Microfiber Applicator and Perfect Shine Buffing Cloth - Great results are in the details. The Microfiber Applicator is the best way to apply Menzerna Acrylic Jacket. Used damp, it spreads Menzerna quickly and evenly with just enough bite to remove old wax and stubborn stains without scratching. After application, use the Perfect Shine Buffing Cloth to buff the finish to a brilliant shine.
